Julia Grant - Executive Assistant

Julia is beginning her eleventh year at Jackson Prep, where she is the Executive Assistant to the Head of School and Board of Trustees.

In 1974 she received her Bachelor of Science degree in library science from Mississippi State University. Upon graduation, she was librarian for Warren Central High School in Vicksburg for three years. In 1978 Julia took a position in the Utilization Department of the Education Division at Mississippi ETV. After three years in the Education Division, she was the educational consultant for research and production of "Edit Point," a television series teaching writing skills to junior high students.

Julia is married to John S. Grant III, a Rankin County Chancery Court Judge. Her children, John Grant IV and Annalissa Grant, are Prep graduates. John is a graduate of the University of Mississippi School of Law and is clerking for Judge Jimmy Maxwell at the Mississippi Court of Appeals.  Annalissa is a graduate of Mississippi University for Women School of Nursing, and is employed as a post-anesthesia nurse at Baptist Hospital in Columbus, Mississippi.
