Katie Bonds, a Mississippi native, graduated from Rhodes College in 2006. She earned her Masters degree in English Literature at the University of Memphis in 2009. She formerly taught English at Tri-County Academy.

She currently resides in Belhaven with her husband, Jason Tuten, and her dog, Stewie. Katie enjoys reading and all things outdoors, including kayaking, running, biking, and tennis.

Katie teaches ninth grade English and sponsors the Junior High spelling bee and service club.
