After spending the majority of my life in the wild and untamed, frigid climate of the Rocky Mountains I decided it was time for a change and promptly moved to the south. I attended Belhaven University where I received a B.A. in English, a minor in history and a husband! In 2007, after graduation I taught English as a second language in Youngin-si, South Korea for six months then moved to Oxford, Mississippi where I taught humanities for two years at a private classical school.

So far, I have completed one year of teaching at Prep and have already fallen in love with this place! I look forward to new adventures everyday and getting to learn from my students as much as they learn from me. Even from a young age I can remember harboring a passion for English. I never grow tired of losing myself in another world every time I explore a new book and I never cease to be intrigued by what others think about literature and life.

I am currently pursuing a Master of Fine Arts degree in English at Mississippi College and will be teaching 7th and 8th Grade English while trying to keep up with the Cross Country team as assistant coach!
