Personal Statement

I am absolutely thrilled to be a part of the Jackson Prep community. Educating and mentoring the youth of today are two of my passions. Our children are bombarded daily with so many difficult choices and obstacles. It is a privilege to come to Prep every day and counsel students who face some of these challenges.

Being an educator was not a call I readily accepted. While in college, my career goal was to become an attorney; however, working at Millsaps in the Admissions Office led to my pursuit of a graduate degree in counseling.

Counseling students and building a rapport with their parents are definitely highlights of my job at Prep. The Prep community consists of many wonderful parents who want the absolute best educational experience for their children. It is a blessing to work with them and assist them through the travails of parenting.

Another highlight of my job at Prep is the unfailing support I receive from my colleagues. These fabulous people inspire, sustain, and encourage me. I am fortunate to work alongside them and look forward to the many exciting possibilities and challenges we will encounter together.

Jackson Prep is a special place blessed with many outstanding parents, students, and educational professionals. I am so very thankful to be a part of this community and eagerly anticipate the days to come as I continue to walk the path God has graciously given me.
