Her love of English and writing began in her eighth grade English class at Prep.

Laura’s connection to Prep began in 1972 when she entered the seventh grade there. Since then all three of her children have also graduated from Prep. Daniel is now 28 years old and is completing a Ph.D. in neuro-microcellular biology at UAB, while Allie is working for Howard College in Maryland. Her third child, Hannah, is currently a junior at Ole Miss.  Laura has been married to her childhood sweetheart since 1979. They enjoy renovating older homes in their spare time.
