Hobbies: Reading, sewing, talking to friends, singing in the Choir
Philosophy: I feel that I am called to teach. Every job I had prior
to Prep asked me to talk with high school students about technical
education. That experience, combined with many years of teaching
Sunday School, convinced me to try my hand at teaching high school.
As expected, I have found that I love being with high school students
and I love the subject I teach.
I want to give my students an understanding of our increasingly
technical world. I believe this will equip them for the future,
either by making college course work easier or helping them understand
how things work. Each year my goal is to help students develop an
excitement for learning how science can explain phenomena they encounter
every day.
Prep provides a wonderful environment for teaching. The students
are well behaved, have above-average motivation and the facilities
are exceptional. The administration provides a structure which allows
me to concentrate on my love: teaching physics to high school students.
I love my job; it is a joy to teach at Jackson Prep.
