The test is administered in the McRae Building and lasts one hour and 45 minutes. Tests are generally scored within two weeks. If the admission test indicates that more information or testing is needed, the parent will be contacted by the Admission Office. A request may be made by Jackson Prep at that time for other standardized test scores, report cards, and other relevant information. The Admission Office may recommend further testing by the school psychometrist. Some admission test scores may be used for course placement.

Jackson Preparatory School admits applicants who score in the average to above average range on the admission test and who demonstrate a positive attitude, appropriate behavior, and solid classroom performance.

Admission Test (grades 9 – 12)

Make an individual appointment with the Admission Office to take the admission tests. Testing takes place during regular school hours and usually lasts 2.5 hours.

More Admission Details

Admission priority will be given to students who complete admission steps by December 3, 2011. Acceptance packets will be mailed after December 16, 2011, with registration due February 1, 2012.

If additional testing or information is needed, parents will be notified 2 weeks after the initial admission testing.
