PREP HOLDS 2007 - 08 NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY INDUCTION The National Honor Society at Jackson Prep held its annual induction ceremony on February 11, 2008. PREP CHESS TEAM WINS THIRD CONSECUTIVE MS HS CHAMPIONSHIP Congratulations to the Jackson Prep Chess Team for winning the Mississippi High School Chess Championship three years in a row. Prep junior David Zhang placed first in the tournament with a record of five wins and no losses. Prep senior Jason Faulkner, also undefeated, placed second with four wins and a draw. Seniors Drew Lewis and Alex Kynerd placed third and fifth, respectively. PREP ALUMNI/STUDENT COMMUNITY SERVICE On the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday, Jackson Prep alumni and students volunteered at Mission First, a ministry that offers after-school youth programs, sports ministry, a medical and dental clinic and a legal aid office in the West Park community. PREP PAGEANT WINNERS A panel of judges at Jackson Prep interviewed the eight senior beauties and beaux chosen by their fellow students. The beauties and beaux were then presented at the Prep Precis Pageant. Chosen as Most Beautiful was Marita Walton. Most Handsome was Will Freeman.
