Did you know…

Prep has produced 517 National Merit Semifinalists, more than any other private or public school in the state. Prep’s Class of 2011 has 10 Semifinalists.

Prep is one of only four schools in the state to have a chapter of the Cum Laude Society, founded in 1906 as the high school equivalent of Phi Beta Kappa.

Prep offers the only Classical Heritage Diploma in the state. Prep is one of the few schools in the South that offers Greek language and classical studies.

In 2009-10, Prep athletic teams won 8 state championships. Prep’s Class of 2010 received scholarship offers totaling $7.7 million; 72% of the class accepted merit-based scholarships totaling $2.8 million.

Prep’s student body comes from over 19 different elementary feeder schools, making Prep one of the most geographically diverse schools in the state.

Prep maintains a 92-95% student retention rate.

The mean ACT score for the Prep Class of 2010 was 25.9, well above the national average of 21.0 and the Mississippi average of 18.8.

31% of Prep’s Class of 2010 qualified for the Mississippi Eminent Scholars Grant, which requires an ACT score of 29 and a 3.5 GPA.

Prep’s faculty/staff is comprised of more than 90 dedicated and experienced professionals; including 54.4% who have earned post-graduate degrees. Seven faculty members hold doctoral degrees.
